Using nanotechnology, scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,USA, developed a new battery or battery whose molecular structure iscomposed of 90% cellulose and 10% of carbon nanotubes act aselectrodes and allow lead the current.
These batteries or can use existing natural electrolytes in sweat, urineand human blood to be activated to produce electricity, are biocompatible therefore could be used in medical implants.
The new battery is extremely flexible and thin, it can also be stacked toproduce more electricity, is environmentally friendly being biodegradable, and can operate from 37.8 degrees to +148.9 degrees Celsius.
Actually it looks a little sheet of black paper, but for now it is quiteexpensive to produce, we study new alternatives for development, and tocontinue experimenting with them, have so far achieved 100 rechargeswithout any deterioration in this plan to testing to determine which is the maximum number of refills allowing the new battery.
